Position Summary & Responsibilities: As a Wastewater Operator, you manage the daily operation, biological testing, and chemical treatment of landfill leachate and industrial wastewater streams. You monitor pumps, clarifiers, aeration tanks, and membrane filtration systems, adjusting chemical dosing levels based on real-time pH, turbidity, and chemical oxygen demand (COD) tests. You also collect water samples for certified laboratory analysis, perform routine mechanical maintenance on pumps and valves, and log regulatory compliance data into environmental reporting systems. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence at treatment plant grounds (zero remote options).
Qualifications & Benefits: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Water Quality or Environmental Science preferred). Requires a state Wastewater Treatment Operator License (Class I or higher) and 2+ years of experience in municipal or industrial wastewater plant operations.
