Position Summary & Responsibilities: As a Solid Waste Operator at Waste Management, you manage daily waste receiving, tipping deck machinery operations, and environmental cover applications at regional disposal facilities. You direct commercial haul vehicles safely across tipping pads, operate stationary waste compactors and heavy loaders, and monitor incoming loads for non-compliant materials. Additionally, you construct site drainage berms, conduct daily landfill cover applications, and maintain facility equipment cleanliness. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence at disposal facility grounds (no work-from-home options).
Qualifications & Benefits: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Requires 2+ years of experience in heavy machinery operation, landfill tipping deck management, or solid waste facility operations. Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions is required.
